Should children have their parents' permission to get a tattoo done?

Nowadays, getting a tattoo done is a trend among teenagers. Even though it is a common practice it shouldn't be considered a single issue. Legal permission from their parents should be required when children decide to be tattooed.

First of all, young children have not developed their personality yet and they are constantly changing their opinions and their points of view. Many of them want to get a tattoo done just to be accepted and to feel that they belong to a group of friends; peer pressure really influences teenagers. Tattoos last for a lifetime and in the future they will probably regret getting that tattoo done, because they will have many problems, for example, in finding a job. Furthermore, if before getting a tattoo done, the necessary precautions are not taken, this can affect their health. If parents allow their children to get a tattoo done they should not only give them legal permission but they should also go with them to the tattoo parlor and pay attention to the material that is used. If needles are not disposable children can catch blood diseases such as AIDS.

In conclusion, though teenagers believe that tattoos are a way of showing their identity, they can be very dangerous and they are an infection route for several diseases. Therefore, they should get legal permission from their parents to be tattooed.
